Pequeño Vals Vienés

Little Viennese Waltz was composed in 2013 to be premiered in New York as part of a series of tributes to García Lorca. Hence his homonymous title of the poem contained in Poeta en Nueva York.
The waltz that opens the work suggested to me immediately the shape of the theme with variations.
As in the rest of my camera catalog, the guitar and the violin share the melodic lines important for the discourse and alternate in the rhythmic-harmonic environments. The first variation, Hemiolias, makes a wink to the round-trip airs. The Sevillanas del Porvenir, my neighborhood, dye the theme of nostalgia. Por Tango de Graná is another guide to the land of my brother Miguel Ángel Cortés, with whom I started playing duo at that time. Contemplative in a tribute to impressionist music, and finally New York Rag in a farewell and memory of that city as fast as magnetic.

Professional level.
Ideal for recitals and chamber music courses.
